• REFERENCE PERIOD:  The length of time for which data are collected, e.g. a specific day, month or year.
• PRODUCT:  The result of an economic activity, concerning to goods and services.
• INOVAÇÃO DE PRODUTO:  Introdução no mercado de um bem ou serviço novo ou significativamente melhorado relativamente às suas capacidades iniciais, tais como a melhoria no software ou na interface com o utilizador, novos componentes ou subsistemas. A inovação deve ser nova para a empresa, mas não necessita ser nova no setor ou mercado da empresa. Não é relevante se a inovação foi originalmente desenvolvida pela empresa ou por outras empresas.
